Yes – as well as wedding outfits we provide tuxedos and dinner jackets for corporate celebrations, balls and graduations. Whatever the event, we will do our best to assist.

Our fabulous range includes 65 different waistcoat designs, colours and fabrics to choose from and with a huge variation of ties and neckwear to select from we are certain we have something to suit every taste and every wedding theme.

It depends on what you would like to hire. A two piece suit is available to hire per Gent from £129. Or for more of a traditional look budget approximately £189 per outfit which includes a more formal jacket (lounge, tails or Prince Edward), trousers, waistcoat, shirt, neckwear and handkerchief.

After obtaining the wearers e-mail address, we’ll forward a measurement guide from which we can receive measurements and order their suit. After it’s delivered (and after the wearer has tried it on) if there are any size changes or replacement items required providing we have a min of 72 hours before the wedding day we can arrange an exchange of garments. We strive to ensure that everyone in the party looks fantastic and would always suggest that if someone is able to come into store to be measured that they do so.

After the initial order has been placed that’s when the rest of the party can be measured. This is usually the last group of wedding day outfits to be decided and they are often selected to match the wedding day theme and usually chosen to compliment the bridesmaid dresses. In the case of hire; groomsmen and groomswomen can be measured 2-3 months before the wedding day (appointments permitting). Due to us providing a very popular menswear service in Colchester and for our Essex Grooms we would always suggest that if you do intend on hiring from us that you book in your first Groom’s Appointment with us as soon as you can to avoid disappointment, the measuring of the rest of the party will be carried out later as explained above.

Hire suits are collected in the week preceding the wedding and returned to The Groom’s Room at Abigail’s Collection on the first open day after the wedding day which is often a Tuesday (no suit returns on Sundays and Mondays).
During peak wedding season (April-End Sept) we can remeasure up to two months before the wedding date and adjust the order for hire suits. In the case of bespoke or made to measure suits adjustments can be made for weight loss only up to two weeks before the wedding day.
95% of our hire range is available from age 5. In some cases special items can also be made subject to fabric availability and time scales.
